Disappointment rings heavy in ears longing for reconnection
I find every thread of this web breaking as I toss in revery
I leapt with no boundaries before the sudden impulse
And fell with no fear at the mountain's peak
But now, I'm dismayed
At how absolutely fallen I've become.
You left your ears behind you when you entered our estate
We'll tar and feather these minds until they bleed and break
You leapt over the corpse of me; trapped within the gate
And fell before you reached the top of what was yet to be
I can't find comfort, now
In your arms.
